What is leadership?

What is leadership? To me, leadership is taking responsibility in your school or community, being a person for people to look up to. According to dictionary.com leadership is "the position or function of a leader." I know leadership takes place in many different atmospheres, whether it be at school, on a team, in an organization and more.
